Ubuntu 11.04 Upgrade grub error

Upon reboot, I got this error

error: symbol not found: 'grub_env_export'
grub rescue>

Fixed the error by following the CHROOT steps here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2#METHOD%203%20-%20CHROOT

Note to self: sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt
