Getting started with Android on Snow Leopard

Some notes as I tinker around with Android….might help others.

Here are the detailed install instructions (which are totally key for a newbie)…. http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html

Reviewing the system requirements:

http://developer.android.com/sdk/requirements.html

Just unzip/untar, and add to Applications folder

Hoping I have JDT installed…no idea, and I don’t see plugins

Seems like I have JDK 1.6 (javac -version) javac 1.6.0_17

Adding the Android Development tools seems pretty straightforward

Running through HelloAndroid example

Well, that wasn’t too bad…
